Doing more with less, or is it less with more?
Spellcheck for everyone!

Why is it the best spellchecker is in word. I have been using MS word 2007 for a while now and I just love it's spellcheck. The problem is I don't use word for everything. I blog using Windows live writer and CS built-in controls. I write email in Word, but notepad and one note is used for notes. Then there is IM, websites, and other areas I could really use Spellcheck.

So why is it that the spellcheck hasn't been removed from office and added to the OS? This just seems to make good since to me. The red line should be in every app I can type in. There should be an API for program writers to access that would allow them to add spell check in their app, then they could even add custom words. So when I use IM and do "brb" it wont come up as something that is miss-spelt, but say brb in my email body would. Even Visual Studio could use it for when you are writing text, but not code.

This is something that just seems to make since to me, No more feeling like an idiot when you write a comment to someone, or having to manage multiple spell checkers for different app's.

It might be one of those things that you just don't think of when you are as big as Microsoft. Maybe I am on to something, Wonder if you can rip out Spellcheck and use it across other app's?

Ah well another idea that will go on-noticed, time to run a sub-par spellcheck.
