CS Dal Mod Pack coming along nicely
Well I think I have gotten to the point where I want to stop. Its at the point where I have added all the add-ons I have used on one or more sites and haven't had any issues with. I don't want to really add to much and there be conflicts.
I do need some input. First off, the Google sitemap from Dan Bartels is an add-on I want to include, but it looks like it has some issues with the URL mapping. I also want to include a metablog add-on to give more support to live writer. Mainly I want better upload support, but the improved tag support is also nice. What other metablog add-ons do people use? I have seen a few and I'm not sure which would be best to use. Any feedback would be great.
I also have plans to add Tiny.MCE.Spell, but for now I want to wait (since it is in beta). I also haven't installed it on any websites, so not sure how hard it is to install or how well it works. All that will be tested and I hope included in the next release.
Right now there isn't a download. Basically I am not sure how I want to package it. I have it all tested and working, but I want the install to be easy enough for non-techies to do. I'm not sure if I will make a script or something to ease the install, or just write a long "install guide" or some other solution. I got to keep in mind hosted solutions, so it must be able to work with that.
I also want to give a special thanks to everyone who created a module (even if I didn't use it). It is such a great thing to see so many people working and GIVING their work to the community. Because of these add-ons and others, Community Server has a rich and flexible solution to fit most any "community" need.

So here is the readme form the package
After hosting a few Community Server sites I found trying to keep up with which site had which version, and what add-on did each have and other common issues I thought it would be best to just "normalize" most of the websites. So, Dal_Mod is nothing more then Mods from other people who are way smarter then me all combined into one single install.
I have also made some common adjustments I find I make on most of my sites. I will keep these setting changes listed here in case someone doesn't agree with my settings they can change it back. Most of this is again to help me normalize the CS Sites I help maintain.
All modules have been included in this folder. Some of them I didn't use their features, so this should help anyone configure or update a single module on their own. Besides, I wanted to make sure people got their credit. Like I said before the hard work was done by the people smarter then me!!
Changes made to Community Server Base Setup:
I make some basic changes to communityserver.config on every site I work with. These changes just make working with a remotely hosted websites easier (IMO). Even though I am the remote host, I still do development using FTP as if I was remote. There is really only 2 changes. First on all the storage
settings I set the storing to DB as false. I also add "data" to the file path. This just allows all the images, files, and attachments to all be stored in one easy place to backup. It also reduces the size of the DB making it easier for someone
to backup remotely (over the WAN). The only other change I make is to set the wwwStatus to "require". Though that
is not setup like that in this MOD pack. Why? Simple, I do a lot of the testing on my Tablet, and www.localhost doesn't seem to work :)
